Time for another Special, about drumming. Some people pay attention to them, on the album or at gigs, others don’t. It depends on your preferences. But everyone knows Mike Portnoy, Mike Terrana, Bobby Jarzombek, Hellhammer, Daniel Erlandsson and others. Right? With this special we tried to look for (one selection of) songs (there are plenty more, of course) where the drummer doesn’t stick to a simple beat, but tries to make the song more interesting via fills, grooves and more.
