Episode 227 – 5 Years!
Sunday, November 6, 2011
2006-2011, a historical period in the era of podcats, eh, podcasts. Looking back at how we started, we’ve been through quite some rides. Lots of music to choose from, lots of bands, and many more songs. Big names, upcoming bands, bands that split-up, big projects, solo projects, and so on. Starting out as a regular show with news and music, after a while it became rather obvious we had to concentrate on the tunes, as news is plentiful to be found on the interwebz. Hence allowing ourselves to create specific episodes around certain themes, nations, bands, etcetera. You, our faithful and loyal listeners, grew in numbers so rapidly we had never foreseen this. Your comments and suggestions made us proud and confirmed we were, sorry, are doing a great job. To this day, your feedback is greatly appreciated. From the bottom of our hearts, a very sincere “thank you!” to everyone who has supported and still supports the MetalCast. We hope you will stay with us for the next 5 years (and of course longer). But enough talking now, time for music. An episode YOU created. Cheers! \m/

Hola! My dear Metalcats, sorry, my dear Metalcasts.
No matter where ever I am, what ever i am doing, and how ever busy, I must print my footsteps on the 5 year EP comments column!
Thanks you guys! The show must go on!
Agree with karsten,paytime, sorry, partytime!
I’ve thanked you guys on Facebook already but would like to do so here as well. Thank you for playing my request and my recording. It was a bit startling to suddenly hear my voice after the Trollfest song as I was expecting the nice clean intro of Iced Earth’s ‘Anthem’ instead, haha.
And yeah,I can totally understand how much trouble you guys went through to compile an Indian metal playlist and hence why you will probably never do that again but if,by any freak chance, you do then I could lighten the burden by providing you all with a playlist myself.Anyhow, you guys DESTROY.May the Force be with you.
A great and memorable episode!! Thanks Kobe and Polina for hosting and doing such a great job….even with all the long speeches 🙂 And thanks to Karsten for such a great job mixing it all together! You rule! And thanks to all listeners who participated and made it so special. :thumpsup
