Episode 135 – Spanish Metal

MetalCast Episode 135Alrighty, enough regular Metal time, let’s go on another trip. Spain this time. This country has several interesting bands, from Hard Rock to Black Metal, but mainly Power Metal is a popular genre over there. We could have added South American bands (Spanish speaking ones), but that wouldn’t make it a Nation Special anymore, would it? Of course, there are well-known and less-known bands and again we have tried to offer a different view on those bands. And yes, you’ll hear Spanish in this episode. Enjoy!

    Hello to everyone!

Yesterday I discovered your podcast, and I blieve it’s by far the best metal podcast I’ve ever known. I’m downloading all the episodes!

About this special, as I write from Spain, I’d say that you’ve missed maybe the two best Spanish metal bands of all the times: Obús, and specially, Barón Rojo. But I guess you’ve tried to offer a more present day perspective.

Keep on doing this excellent work, and I suggest you (sorry if I dare too much!) to make a Barón Rojo special, or Barón Rojo / Obús if you thinks it’s better. I promise you won’t be disappointed by the music’s quality.

Thnaks you again and LONG LIVE METAL!!! :headbang

    • Polina says:

      Hi Jhon!
Thanks for your comment! Glad you enjoyed it!

Mago de Oz are great no doubt, and there’s a bunch of other nice bands too. We just couldn’t squeeze all of them in one show.
We played Mago before a few times, and they can always be featured on a Vol.2 at some point in the future ;-)
