Episode CoverThis Death Metal Special is the result of a request by one of our German listeners, Nikolas Wille, even if another brutal episode was planned for the near future. The bands he requested have been played a few times (especially Death), and we had a Technical Death Metal Special not too long ago, so we opted for other bands that don’t fit the “Technical/Progressive” banner, unless for a late newcomer (Obscura). As our selection was 50/50 with regards to USA vs Europe, it eventually became 40/60 for Europe. Expect much blood, gore and lethal brutality! And keep those suggestions coming. A next time we might do something more melodic again, no worries.

    Ahh, TechThing, I believe you know much more about Death Metal than me :)

    I’m more into the older classic bands and those I believe you are already familiar with, but of course, as soon as I remember something that might interest you, I’ll let you know.

    I really enjoyed Sotajumala, I didn’t know them.

    For me, the once worth checking out are Sotajumala, Vomitory, Vital Remains and Panzerchrist.

    Guess I’ll have to check out some Hate Eternal and Vital Remains one of the next times I go to the shop. Besides the played material of these bands, any releases I have to listen to, Marcus?
