TMC - Episode 20

Seems like the series of Specials wouldn’t end, would it? Back to a regular episode now, providing you with a taste of what two Progressive giants have recently released. See it as a pretaste of what to expect when they hit the stage near you very soon. Although the focus lies again on new material, there’s one band that needs to keep the scales in balance and who could do it better than Savatage? A short trip back to the ’80s, so to speak. Progressive, Heavy, Power make up one part of the episode, while Gothic, Hard Rock and Black Metal fill in the other positions. Enjoy and while you’re at it, leave a comment. Better yet, join the forum and vent your thoughts on the episode and whatever more.

Going to see DT and Symphony soon!
But I won’t listen episode until I get shownotes that I could scrobble the songs
Saaaaaaaaaavaaaaaaaaataaaaaaaaaaaaage - Necrophiliaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Savatage always gets two thumbs up from me! Really appreciate the choice of the more obscure but nonetheless excellent song that is Necrophilia with the tasteful guitar work of Criss Oliva and the shrieks of terror of Jon Oliva!
I had never heard of Lillian Axe before and must say I was really impressed by the song you played. Took all its time to unfold and ended up being a very enriching experience.
I really appreciated the diversity in the song choice. Well done!
I have one question though. Is the way you guys speak English due to your Brazilian accent?
Marcus is the only one from Brazil. Kobe, who usually does the hosting, is from Belgium. Judit is from Hungary, Polina is from Russia, Dylan and Vixee are from the USA, and Jonas from Denmark. I hope I didn’t forget anyone.
Thanks for liking the playlist.
Fields Of Yesterday (Lillian Axe) is one of my favourite songs on their new album. And yes, the band is also new to me, but that song has a wonderful accoustic part and mainly that was the reason for adding it. Necrophilia… well, I could have picked any song from Power Of The Night, but that was a little more ‘aggressive’, so to speak. I’d like to do a Savatage Special one day, but that will take time. If you have suggestions of what should be in it or what not, feel free to post ‘em on the forum.

You forgot ME!
You don’t do any recordings.
And I think Forgotten Glory already knows you’re from Germany.
They way I speak is because of my serious lack of articularity and because I’m dislectic.
Nah, those are just excuses, I’m lazy.
The shownotes will be up in (say) two, three hours.
Ok, third time, best time? Or is there a limit to how many comments one can add?
Sorry, K., for not adding you, but since you insist…
El Karsto is the one who puts it all together. Without him there wouldn’t be a cast. He is The One, he is godder than God. KvW is a shining diamond and in spirit more Metal than your grandma’s teeth fillings.
But he’s actually an alien, although you shouldn’t speak about that with him if you prefer to stay alive.
Te quiero, Karsten.
Polina
@TechThing: Karsty recorded an interview with Alex Staropoli for the legendary episode #1
Oh, that was Karsten?

A nice playlist and good work with adding that little bit of info with the songs.
We should do that more often.
